Bring a burst of colour to your garden with Thompson & Morgan Cornus Sanguinea Midwinter Fire Plant Pot 9cm 2 Pack that keeps borders lively all year. Cornus ‘Midwinter Fire’ delights with coral-pink and orange stems in winter, white spring flowers, blue-black summer berries and fiery autumn foliage, thriving in moist well-drained soils and tolerating both sun and shade. Its compact rounded shape suits most gardens and it's easy to prune for vibrant stems, making it a versatile low-maintenance choice for borders or shrubberies. Supplied as one plant in a 9cm pot, you'll receive growing and care instructions to help it settle in. How to grow: Plant Dogwood in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full shade or part shade. Cornus is a very useful shrub, as it can also tolerate damp soils or an exposed position. Feed and water dogwoods regularly until fully established. Once established, they will require less attention. To encourage plenty of colourful stems, Dogwood will need regular pollarding in early spring. Cut back all dogwood stems to three buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning. Caution: Dogwood berries are harmful if eaten. Irritant to skin and eyes.
