Climbing French Bean ‘Cobra’ is a superb variety which has been awarded an RHS AGM and remains a firm favourite with our customers. This reliable variety is popular for its exceptional flavour and enormous yields. Long green pods of up to 18cm 7” long are produced throughout summer. Each tasty pod is, smooth, round and stringless. The mauve purple flowers are borne throughout the summer months, making an attractive display that looks equally at home in the flower border. Perfect for training onto a tripod to create an ornamental and productive feature. Climbing French Beans are easy to grow. Sow from April to July on fertile, well-drained soil, in full sun with shelter from strong winds. Climbing Beans require support from a cane wigwam, strings or netting as they grow. Water well throughout the growing season. Beans should be harvested regularly from July to October when still young.
