- Flowers from mid-summer to autumn for extended seasonal colour
Bring a burst of drama and colour to your garden with this late-flowering climbing plant, showing off deep purple-red blooms from mid-summer right through to autumn. Clematis 'Ville de Lyon' thrives in patio pots or trained against fences, making it perfect for adding height and interest to borders or outdoor spaces. Simply plant deeply in fertile, moist but well-drained soil and watch as it grows vigorously, rewarding you with a reliable display year after year. Suitable for both large containers and garden borders, it's easy to train onto trellis or wires and benefits from regular feeding and mulching to keep roots happy. Prune in spring for a fresh flush of flowers on new growth, and enjoy its vibrant blooms as the season unfolds.
