- Vibrant blooms from August to November
- Ideal for borders and cut flowers
- Thrives in full sun, well-drained soil
These beautiful patio chrysanthemums will produce a profusion of domed blooms in yellow, pink, and ruby red from late August to early November, making them perfect for brightening your garden in the autumn. This variety is also excellent for cut flowers, thanks to their strong stems and long-lasting blooms, which create elegant indoor displays. To cultivate hardy chrysanthemum plants, pot them up and grow them in bright, frost-free conditions. When the plants reach a height of 15cm, pinch off the top 5cm of each stem to encourage a bushier plant with more flowers. Once all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatize the chrysanthemums to outdoor conditions over seven to ten days before planting them in borders and containers with fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a location that receives full sun. Water the hardy chrysanthemums regularly until they are fully established. In late autumn, apply a layer of deep mulch to protect the crowns of the plants during winter. Leave the flowered stems intact until spring, as they will provide some winter protection. Caution: These plants can irritate the skin and eyes. They are supplied as 18 Postiplugs. Please note that the images shown are for guidance only regarding the expected results upon maturity. Growing conditions can vary, which may affect results. Additionally, images may vary due to seasonal changes (e.g., deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
