Product Information

  • Bright orange blooms all summer long
  • Hardy climber, grows up to 4m tall
  • Thrives in sunny, well-drained soil
With bright orange blooms and lush foliage, this variety will flower all summer long and will perform well in a sheltered spot in the garden. A non-invasive variety, this gorgeous climber will be fantastic in summer displays. Although Campsis are fully hardy, they will perform better when grown against a warm, sunny wall for added protection and better flowering performance. Plant into moist, but well-drained soil in a sunny position. Alternatively, grow Campsis plants in patio containers using soil based compost such as John Innes No.2, and add extra grit for drainage. Once Trumpet Vine plants are established in the border, they will prove to be drought resistant. After planting your Campsis, cut back all stems to 15cm (6") from the ground, to stimulate new growth. Train the strongest new shoots, and remove weaker shoots. After 2 or 3 years, a framework will be established, and you should prune back sideshoots to within 2 or 3 shoots of the main stems. Prune in late winter. Product Specifications: Hardy Shrub Position: climber Height: Up to 400cm (13ft) when fully established Spread: Up to 400cm (13ft) when fully established Supplied as Campsis x Tagliabuana ‘Indian Summer’ 2 litre pot x 1Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
