Product Information

  • Hardy annual thrives in full sun and well-drained soil
  • Grows up to 25cm in height
  • Pack contains approximately 50 seeds
Start your journey to a flourishing garden with the Thompson and Morgan Calendula Crown Orange Seeds. Directly sow calendula seeds outdoors in full sun from April to May, choosing a well-drained soil that has been worked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 1cm in drills spaced 30cm apart, covering them lightly with soil to block light. Keep the ground moist, especially during dry spells; germination typically occurs within 5 to 10 days. Once the seedlings are large enough, thin them to 30cm apart. Alternatively, for earlier blooms or winter flowering, you may start seeds indoors from March to April at a temperature of 18-23°C, before transplanting them outdoors when they are ready. For blooming in late summer or autumn, sow calendula in late summer or early autumn and nurture the plants in a cool greenhouse or conservatory. This hardy annual can reach a height of up to 25cm and a spread of about 30cm, making it an excellent addition to any garden. Supplied as Calendula ‘Crown Orange’ in a packet containing 50 seeds, it comes with detailed growing and care instructions. The pack contains approximately 50 seeds.
