Calathea makoyana, also known as ‘peacock’ plant. This is a glorious foliage houseplant that non-stop conjures up a jungle vibe. This mix of three varieties with contrasting leaf shapes and varied markings make a exceptional ensemble and an eye-catching focal point for any room. Calathea makoyana is also a great air-purifying plant, filtering out toxins to keep you home or office fresh. Please note: Decorative plant is not included. How to grow: Position Calathea in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, in a bright spot that is out of direct sunlight (which will scorch the leaves). Keep at a constant temperature above 16C (60F) - average room temperatures of 18C (65F) - 24C (75F) are preferable. More Info: Water Calathea regularly between spring and autumn, whenever the compost begins to dry out. Use tepid rainwater where possible and allow the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to completely dry out. Houseplants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Calathea appreciates a humid atmosphere - stand it on a tray filled with pebbles and water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant.
