Transform your garden with the Thompson and Morgan Cabbage Gilson F1 Seeds. It is known for producing dense, round heads of flavourful cabbage. It thrives in diverse soil conditions, especially in less fertile soils, making it an ideal choice for challenging gardening environments. This variety allows for closer planting, which is perfect for limited spaces. The tasty heads can be harvested from October, and they can also be cut in November for winter storage. For best results, sow autumn cabbage seeds indoors from March to May, or direct sow outdoors from late March in a well-prepared seedbed for later transplanting. Seeds should be sown at a depth of 13mm and spaced 23cm apart in rows. When sowing indoors, place seeds at a depth of 12mm in trays filled with free-draining seed compost, covering with vermiculite. Keep the trays in a propagator or a sealed container inside a plastic bag at temperatures of 20-25°C until germination, which typically takes four to seven days. Following germination, cultivate the plants in cooler conditions until the threat of frost has passed, and they have developed two to three true leaves. The pack contains approximately 40 seeds.
