Thompson and Morgan Butternut Squash Cucurbita Moschata Betternut F1 Seed Packet

Bring more flavour and less waste to your garden with Betternut F1 butternut squash seeds, specially bred for a longer, thicker neck that gives you more flesh and makes slicing effortless. You'll find each semi-vining plant is space-efficient, reaching about 60 centimetres tall and spreading to 150 centimetres, producing fruits between 2.5 and three kilograms with a much smaller seed cavity for less waste. Powdery mildew resistance means you'll have an easier growing experience, whether sowing indoors or directly outside, and the compact habit suits most gardens. Expect a late summer harvest of beautifully shaped squashes that thrive with regular watering, high potash feed and full sun, ready to pick when the skin hardens and fruit cracks near the stem.
