- Produces lilac-purple blooms
- Grows up to 1.2m tall and spreads up to 70cm
- Attracts butterflies
A relatively new variety that has many of the best Buddleja attributes combined into one unique plant. It is compact, bushy and has an extremely impressive long-flowering season. This striking butterfly bush will provide nectar for visiting insects, but the flowers are sterile and don't produce pollen, so this buddleja won't seed itself all around the garden. This variety bears prolific clusters of lilac-purple flowers that open from July to October, set amongst an attractive silvery green foliage that provides the perfect backdrop. Plant into garden borders in any moist, well-drained garden soil and position in full sun or partial shade. Alternatively, grow in patio containers using soil-based compost. Feed and water regularly until fully established. When planted directly into borders will require only occasional attention. In spring, prune back to a permanent low framework of three or four buds from the base of the plant. Deadhead faded flowers to prolong the flowering season. Position: Full Sun or Partial Shade. Height: Up to 1.2m. Spread: Up to 70cm. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary the results. Image may be included for illustration of supply, but can vary due to seasonality changes and may not be the exact variety.
