These exceptionally large begonia flowers, featuring stunning mixed colours and yellow centres, create a striking impact and provide long-lasting colour from July to October. You can plant begonia plugs directly into flower pouches, but it's best to pot them first and grow them in bright, frost-free conditions if you wish to display them in baskets, window boxes, pots, or flower beds. Once the plants have grown larger, they can be transplanted into their final containers. After the last frost, acclimatise the begonia plants to outdoor conditions for seven to ten days before placing them in their final locations. Choose a sunny or semi-shaded spot that is sheltered from strong winds. It’s important to feed and water the begonia plants regularly throughout the growing season, but be careful not to over-water, as excessive moisture can cause the new flower buds to drop. Remember to deadhead any faded begonia flowers regularly to extend the flowering period and promote the production of more blooms.
