Thompson and Morgan Bean Dwarf French Adoration Yellow Seeds

Discover the secret to lush greenery with the Thompson and Morgan Bean Dwarf French Adoration Yellow Seeds. It is an exceptional variety that produces vibrant yellow pencil-shaped pods, which are stringless and highly sought after. This dwarf bean grows to approximately 25cm tall and yields an abundance of fine beans throughout an extended cropping season. Ideal for patio containers or garden borders, these beans benefit from regular harvesting, as this encourages more flowers to develop and extends the harvest period. They are also perfect for freezing and can be used in a wide range of homemade dishes. For optimal results, sow dwarf bean seeds indoors from mid-April for later transplanting, or directly outdoors from late May to July. When sowing indoors, plant the seeds at a depth of 5cm in 7.5cm pots or trays filled with free-draining seed sowing compost. Keep them in a propagator or sealed container inside a plastic bag at temperatures between 12 and 25°C until germination occurs, which typically takes 7 to 10 days. Light exposure is crucial for germination. Once germinated, grow them in cooler conditions until the risk of frost has passed and they are large enough for transplanting. Acclimatise them gradually to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting in rich, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun while ensuring protection from strong winds. It is also important to cook dwarf beans before consumption to prevent any discomfort. The pack contains approximately 40 seeds.
