Product Information

  • Ideal for greenhouse or patio container cultivation
  • Produces glossy purple oval fruits throughout summer
  • Supplied as 1 packet containing 13 seeds
Bring a burst of glossy purple to your garden with the Thompson & Morgan Aubergine Bonica F1 Hybrid Seeds, offering early-ripening, flavoursome oval fruits that crop heavily all summer long whether in a greenhouse or patio container. You'll find growing these aubergines straightforward with the included care instructions and enjoy harvesting shiny, fully coloured fruits from August onwards. Each packet contains 13 seeds, perfect for gardeners seeking reliable yields and disease resistance. How to grow: Aubergines grow best at temperatures of 25-30C (77-86F) with high humidity levels. Stake aubergine plants as they increase in size and pinch out the main growing tip to encourage a bushy habit. Water regularly to prevent buds from dropping. Once the first flowers have set, feed aubergines every 2 weeks with a high potash tomato feed. Restricting the crop to five or six per plant will produce the largest fruits. Harvest aubergines by cutting them close to the stem from August onwards, when the fruit appears fully coloured and shiny. Harvest regularly to promote further flowers and to extend the picking season.
