Thompson & Morgan Aspidistra Cast Iron Plant Elatior Potted Plant

This House plant is perfect for those who don’t have a lot of time looking after plants but still enjoy having them in the house. It is nicknamed the Cast Iron plant for that very reason; it is very resilient, even to the point of neglect. The long upright dark green leaves curl over attractively, followed by new growth all the time. It will also tolerate low light levels and copes well with drought conditions and pollution. It was popular with the Victorians for this very reason. Aspidistra likes to be kept in warm room, with average temperature of 15-24°C, but is able to tolerate much cooler temperatures, down to 8°C. Ideally it prefers a spot away from direct sunlight, but bright, but can tolerate lower light conditions. Please note: Some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested.
