Catch the eye with vibrant clusters of deep violet blooms that bring a touch of elegance and charm to any garden, as Thompson & Morgan Aquilegia Vulgaris Miss M.I. Huish Seeds flourishes atop tall, sturdy stems and offers effortless growing for both beginners and seasoned gardeners. Requiring minimal maintenance, you'll enjoy a spectacular floral display that shines especially when paired with bright whites or pale greens, creating a striking colour contrast in borders or cottage gardens. Supplied as a packet of 50 seeds, this variety thrives in full sun or semi shade, with mature plants reaching up to 60cm in height and 30cm in spread, promising a delightful addition to your outdoor space. How to grow: Sowing time: February to June or September to October. Sow seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Place container in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag and keep at a temperature of between 15-20C (59-68F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination can take one to three months. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Plant out once plants are well grown, 23-30cm (9-12in) apart. For best results, provide any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun. Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes. Harmful if eaten.
