Catch the eye with a dazzling display as anemone bulbs burst into a vibrant mix of jewel-like colours, creating a carpet of silky blooms that bring life to borders, containers and cottage gardens. Each stem carries a delicately cupped flower, attracting pollinators and adding a splash of colour from spring onwards. Soak bulbs overnight, plant in a sunny spot with well-drained soil, and enjoy easy-care, long-lasting flowers that thrive with minimal fuss. How to Grow: Soak anemone bulbs in water overnight before planting. Choose a sunny position with light, sandy, well-drained soil. Plant bulbs 5cm (2”) deep in groups for best effect. Anemone bulbs require a dry dormant period in summer once foliage dies back after flowering. Avoid watering during dormancy. In autumn, apply a dry mulch of leaf mould or chipped bark to protect bulbs from winter wet. Caution: The sap of Anemone coronaria is an irritant to skin and eyes and harmful if eaten.
