Lush and contemporary, ‘Dragon Scale’ will make a lovely addition to any home, either as a single specimen or contrasting with other varieties in a houseplant collection. Place your Alocasia in a bright spot with plenty of natural light but not in direct sunlight. This rainforest plant enjoys humidity, so a bathroom or kitchen windowsill is ideal. Avoid draughts and rotate occasionally to ensure even growth. Water regularly as the top of the compost begins to dry out, keeping the root zone moist but not saturated. The plant will also enjoy being misted. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant feed. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the top of the compost to mostly dry out.
