Thompson & Morgan Air Plant Tillandsia Xerographica

Introducing the majestic Air plant (Tillandsia) xerographica, also known as the King of Air Plants. With its remarkable size and captivating presence, it truly stands out among other Tillandsia species. At maturity it can reach up to an impressive 3 feet in length, making a grand statement in any space. It forms a tight rosette of broad, silvery-green leaves that taper at the ends, creating an elegant spiral and resembling the graceful tentacles of an octopus. Hygienic, air-purifying, and requiring no soil, this living ornament is both mess-free and easy to maintain. In ideal conditions, this extraordinary plant may surprise you with an impressive flower spike, reaching up to 40cm tall and displaying stunning red/purple flowers within yellow bracts. Please note that Tillandsia xerographica will only bloom once in its lifetime, but worry not, as it will produce new pups at the base to continue the cycle of life. Supplied as 1 x 18cm Wide Air Plant. How to GrowLight Requirements: Position in bright, filtered light with good air circulation. Provide ample light without exposing it to direct sunlight, as it may cause leaf burn. Temperature: Maintain a minimum temperature of 5°C (41°F) to ensure the plant's well-being. Watering: Water the plant frequently from spring to autumn by either immersing the entire plant in rainwater or misting it thoroughly. After each watering, allow the plant to completely drain and dry. In winter, reduce the frequency of soaking. Fertilization: Feed the plant monthly by adding a small amount of bromeliad fertilizer to the misting water. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity.
