Product Information

  • Produces soft violet flowers
  • Semi evergreen foliage
  • Excellent as a cut flower
Transform your garden with Thompson and Morgan Agapanthus Blue Storm Plant. Agapanthus 'Blue Storm' is a neat and compact cultivar that boasts more stems than the traditional African lily, blooming for up to three weeks longer in summer. The semi-evergreen foliage is resilient and drought-resistant, ideal for patio containers or even for creating ground cover that won't require much maintenance. Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blackens the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container-grown plants can be moved to a frost-free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become overcrowded. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions may vary the results. Image may be included for illustration of supply, but may vary due to seasonality changes and may not be the exact variety.
