Product Information

  • Tall spires with white and purple flowers
  • Glossy evergreen foliage, low maintenance
  • Perfect for bold garden focal points
Acanthus mollis is a stately, architectural presence in the garden – perfect to create eye-catching focal points in large borders. Above the glossy deep green foliage, which remains evergreen in mild areas, spires of flowers reach up to 1.5m. Each bloom consists of delicate white lower petals topped with a deep purple hood. Plant into fertile moist, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Water regularly until established and cut back dead flower stems and foliage in autumn. Acanthus Mollis is a low maintenance perennial that only requires lifting and dividing in spring when the clump becomes overcrowded. Product Specifications: Position: Full Sun, Semi-Shade Height: Up to 150cm when fully established Spread: Up to 100cm when fully established Supplied as 1 x 9cm Acanthus Mollis Hardy Herbaceous Potted Shrub .Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
