Laptop Stands & Trays

Laptop stands and laptop trays for home working

A laptop tray gives you a flat, simple surface, ideal for working from the sofa, bed or anywhere without a desk. Look for one with a cushioned base if you'll be resting it on your lap, since it also helps stop heat from the laptop transferring through to your legs. A laptop stand for desk use is the better option if you want to improve your posture. Most designs let you raise the laptop closer to eye level and adjust the angle, which helps reduce neck and shoulder strain during study or work sessions.

Browse adjustable laptop stands for better posture

If you spend hours at a laptop, an adjustable stand is a fantastic investment. Being able to raise the screen to eye level and adjust the angle helps you avoid hunching over, which adds up over a long essay-writing session or workday. Many stands also fold flat for easy storage, so they're a good fit for student accommodation or anywhere space is tight. Pick up a pair of headphones and a mouse and keyboard to complete the setup.

Laptop Stands FAQs

What size laptop will fit on a laptop stand?

Most laptop stands are designed to fit a wide range of sizes, generally up to 15.6 or 17 inches, but always check the maximum width and weight listed on the product before buying, particularly for larger laptops.

Can a laptop stand help with overheating?

Yes, raising the laptop off a flat surface improves airflow underneath, which can help reduce overheating, especially compared to using a laptop directly on a soft surface like a bed or sofa where vents can get blocked.

Are laptop stands suitable for all laptop brands?

Most laptop stands are universal and work with any brand, but always check the size and weight guidance to make sure your specific laptop fits securely.
