Two individual compartments will let you separate general waste and recycling with ease to prevent cross contamination. An infrared sensor will automatically open the bin with the wave of a hand for hands free waste disposal, whilst the recycling compartment in the base of the bin can be accessed via a foot pedal. The bin requires four AA batteries to operate, though they are not included, whilst it can also be turned off for manual operation.
