The top-hinged lid includes a securing chain that can be attached to the bin lid, allowing the lid off the bin to open when you lift the storage lid. The chain is attached by threading it through the handle of the bin lid and then attaching it to the store lid, and can be easily removed when it's bin day. ACQ treatment is an Alkaline Copper Quaternary preservative system developed to provide long-term protection of wood exposed in exterior applications. Copper and quaternary compounds are effective fungicides and termiticides, and together they protect a broad spectrum of decay fungi, borers and termites. Treated timber will initially have a greenish appearance (depending on the species); this will weather to a honey brown colour before fading to a driftwood grey after exposure to the elements.
