Postsaver Creostain dark brown 16L is an oil-based, creosote substitute wood treatment, effective when applied to exterior timbers. Its oil-based properties provide excellent surface water repellence, improve grain definition and restrict weather damage. 16L Creostain Coverage Guide (Two Coats) Panel Size. Approximate No. Panels Covered (Two Coats) 6 x 6ft = 14, 6 x 5ft = 18, 6 x 4ft = 22. 1 Litre will cover 6 – 8 square meters depending upon the texture and porosity of the timber to be treated. For reference – A 6 x 6ft fence panel is 3.2 square metres, a 6 x 5ft fence panel is 2.7 square metres and a 6 x 4ft fence panel is 2.2 square metres. this Creostain has a traditional appearance when dry and is suitable for rough, sawn or smooth timber. It is ideal for exterior fences, sheds and barns. Creostain has similar physical, water-resistant and application characteristics to traditional Creosote, but contains no biocides. Suitable for application with a brush or spray and available in two colours, light brown and dark brown. A deeper colour may be attained by applying further treatments.
