Safe to use, there are four guard rails to the top bunk and two on either side, ensuring safety for the top bunk sleeper. Also, for added convenience, the ladder is adjustable to either the left or right-hand side, designed to suit any bedroom requirements. The bed complies with the requirements of UK bunk beds (Entrapment Hazards) (Safety Regulations 1987) and the European Standards (EN747-1). It can be easily separated into two single beds and both feature solid slatted bases for extra support to the mattresses. This bed comes with two single Theo pocket-sprung mattresses. Plus, the headboard and foot end of both top and bottom bunks are styled in a matching vertical slatted design. The product is supplied flat-packed to a room of choice. Please note: The bed requires self-assembly. The gap between bunks is 67.2cm, and the under-bed gap is 28.5cm. The turn and rotate mattresses are tested to BS7177.
