Our multi-purpose compost is ideal for gardeners of all levels. Produced from a balanced peat blend, it offers fantastic planting conditions making it great for use all around the garden. Suitable for seeds, seedlings, plants, vegetables, trees and shrubs. Structure: This multi-purpose compost has an even texture that holds water well, yet allows good drainage, providing ideal conditions for plants. At the same time, it's open structure allows essential air movement for the development of roots. It has been formulated to store maximum moisture by the inclusion of a special water retaining agent which coats the fires in the compost and allows them to store water for longer periods. Nutrition: A precise combination of nutrients and trace elements makes Wilko multi-purpose compost the idea choice. Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (N, P and K) are readily available at just the right levels to ensure healthy and vigorous growth. A slow release fertiliser is also included to continue to feed plants for 5-6 weeks. This formulation is not recommended for lime hating varieties (i.e azaleas, rhododendrons, heathers, camellias etc).
