How do I choose the right type of netting for my garden?

If your plants are being nibbled by wildlife, protective netting is the way to go. Their strong structure will keep birds and rabbits off your veg patch, but still allow for rain and air to circulate freely. For climbing plants, garden pea & bean netting can be attached to vertical surfaces to help them grow big & tall!

Can I install netting over tall plants?

Garden netting can be installed over tall plants with the help of some plant canes. Simply drive the cane into the soil and drape your netting over the top. Putting an empty plastic bottle on top of the plant cane will stop the netting from slipping down.

How do I prevent netting from damaging delicate plants?

Make sure your netting isn’t too tight, and use some plant supports to lift your netting off the top of your plants. Small seedlings won’t be able to support the weight of the netting, so pop some canes with plastic bottles on top to keep the netting elevated.

Do you need to remove netting in winter?

If you’re expecting snowfall, you may want to reinforce your netting with some extra canes. Otherwise, your garden netting should be fine.
