If you’re looking for a spring flowering bulb with something a bit magical about it, Allium 'Bulgaricum' is a must-grow. These unusual flowering bulbs produce tall, upright stems that display clusters of delicate, bell-shaped flowers that droop elegantly in soft shades of cream, purple and pink. This allium is a long-standing border favourite, particularly when grown through ornamental grasses or natural-style planting. It brings early summer interest and adds valuable height without being bulky or invasive. At around 90cm tall, it’s ideal for the middle to back of beds and adds visual structure to softer planting schemes. Fully hardy, thriving in well-drained soil, this is a bulb you plant once and enjoy for years.
