Whether grown in an unheated greenhouse or outdoors, this plant produces large crops of medium-sized, bright red, juicy fruits on impressive trusses. The plant thrives when its side shoots are pinched out to promote an upright central stem, requiring sturdy support for optimal fruit production. With this plant, you can expect a continuous harvest from July onwards. Care Information: Plant on into 9cm pots from April onwards, and grow on for 2 or 3 weeks in a greenhouse/warm environment before placing outside to harden off. Cover plants with horticultural fleece on any unexpectedly cold nights. Once the hardened off plants are 10cm tall, they can be planted into their grow bag/container. Feed with high Potash feed once first flowers appear and water well, especially when the fruits begin to develop. Remove side shoots (shoots that grow where side branches join the main stem) for better crops. Grow in full sun and water well and consistently, as drying out can result in cracked skins on the fruit. As the plants grow, tie them into canes for support as they'll get heavy once the fruit begins to form. When there are four or five trusses of flowers, pinch out the top of the plant to stop it from growing taller. This will concentrate its energy into producing fruit. Plant: Apr-Jun. Fruits: July-Oct.
