Essential for both DIY and professional plumbers, the 1/2"M x 3/4"M garden tap is ideal as a replacement for a worn tap. Directions for use: isolate the water. Unscrew existing tap from wall plate elbow. Wrap a minimum of two turns of PTFE tape tightly around the male thread of the tap, in the opposite direction to the way the connector is screwed into the wall plate elbow. Further turns of PTFE may be required to obtain a good seal. Hand-tighten and then use a spanner/grips to tighten half to one full turn. Do not over-tighten. Turn on the water and check all joints are watertight.
