Choosing the right type of electric blanket for you

Choose a heated blanket that works for the size of your mattress so there are no dreaded cold spots, and consider the levels of heat control.

Many of our electric blankets have adjustable heat settings to keep you in control, and are very energy efficient, costing anywhere around 17p a night to run. You can sleep soundly knowing you’re using minimal energy whilst staying comfortable! Don’t forget, you can up the warmth even further with blankets & throws, or treat yourself to a 13.5 tog duvet to keep the warmth in.

Electric blanket safety and maintenance

You must follow safety instructions and handle your new electric blanket with care. All quality heated blankets shut off automatically after a certain amount of time to minimise risk, but you can also take control of run time with the handy in-built timers. Always switch them off when not in use and when you go to sleep, and avoid folding or creasing your electric blanket when it's switched on.

Keep a close eye out for any damage or wear and tear over time, as you'll need to replace it if you do. When it comes to cleaning, always follow the manufacturer's washing instructions - just be sure to remove the controllers before cleaning.
