What materials can I use for a shed base?

What size should my shed base be?

With so many sizes of sheds available, from 6x4 sheds for compact storage to larger 10x6 sheds and beyond, we stock a good selection of sizes of shed base to get you started. If you can’t find a shed base to match the exact measurements of your shed, play it safe and get a shed base that is slightly larger.

Can I install a shed base myself?

Our shed bases are easy to install. Prepare you ground by removing debris (a tiller is very useful for this) and level the soil using a rake before compacting the soil to create a hard surface.

Can you put a shed on paving slabs?

Achieving a sturdy and level foundation is doable. You might need to dig a bit and check those levels as you lay the slabs with mortar. Our shed bases are easy to install and save you a lot of time and effort, though!

Does a shed base need to be perfectly level?

A level base is key to keeping your shed stable and safe for everyone. Plus, let's not forget how nice it looks from the inside when everything's nice and flat!

Can a shed sit directly on the ground?

Going that route could lead to some structural issues during windy days or heavy rains. You don't want your shed taking off like Mary Poppins! Water runoff could pose a challenge, especially in areas prone to downpours.
