Light up your home with our huge range of LED light bulbs. We've got everything you need to stay switched on, from dimmable bulbs to downlights, candle bulbs and fluorescent tubes. Our vintage bulbs look great in a classically neutral black or white table lamp. Or try a twisted filament light bulb in a clear table lamp for an eye-catching centrepiece. Whatever you're looking for, find the right light bulbs for your home in our huge range. Top tip: If you're adding a dimmable bulb to a ceiling light don't forget to get a qualified electrician to install a dimmer switch for you too!
Types of Bulbs
Whether you need a new bulb for your desk lamp or want your outdoor flood light to be brighter, we have all the LED bulbs you could need for your day-to-day lighting! Most household light bulbs are either bayonet or screw bulbs. Bayonet light bulbs use a twist-and-lock base for easy installation which doesn’t come loose, and we also have screw bulbs in a range of sizes – E14 is a standard size for smaller lights, whilst E27 is a wider option which tends to be found in ceiling lights and other medium to large-sized lights.
Smart bulbs are your choice for smart lighting, which can be controlled with your phone, tablet, or voice! They can change colour and be brightness-adjusted for full customisation in your home. Elsewhere, you can also shop our range of R7S bulbs for security lights, GU10 bulbs for spotlights, and slim batten lights for saving space and lighting up utility areas.
Choosing the Right Bulb
With so many shapes, wattages, and connections to choose from, you may think that shopping for light bulbs is a complicated process – but it doesn’t have to be! If you’re replacing an existing light bulb, the information you need should be written on the old bulb itself. A higher wattage means brighter light, but remember that LEDs will give you brighter light at a lower wattage than old-school bulbs. Most LED lights should have a guide as to the wattage that it’s closest to.
The colour temperature is all about the mood. Warm white light bulbs give a cosy, more yellow light which is great for living rooms and bedrooms, whilst cool white can bring a clear light to kitchens and workspaces. Check your light to see which connection type you need (screw type or bayonet), and grab a bulb shape which matches your fixture. Don’t forget to check the product label for all the details you need to make sure it’s compatible with your light, including if they’re dimmable. Putting non-dimmable light bulbs with a dimmer switch isn’t a good idea!
