How to Plant Calendula Seeds

Enrich your flowerbed or potting mix with compost to add nutrients and aid drainage, and plant your calendula seeds directly into the ground in a sunny location after your last frost date. Plant seeds about a centimetre deep and cover lightly with soil. Gently water the seeds and keep the soil moist until the seedlings spring up. Keep your soil moist whenever you can, especially if plants are in pots – calendulas may tolerate draught, but they’ll certainly be happier in moist soil.
