When in full colour, these blooms attract all manner of beneficial insects to your garden including butterflies, ladybirds and honey bees - perfect for nature lovers and fruit and vegetable gardeners. Due to their very hardy nature, these are perfect for gardeners with little experience or time, or anybody who wants something reliable that will flourish time and again. They can be grown in beds, borders, pots, or containers, and many of the bright blooms make excellent cut flowers that can be brought indoors too. Each one will die back in autumn, only to return with bigger, better displays the following spring. Care instructions: The plugs packed in will have a label on the outside, listing the individual varieties. We recommend writing your labels out on receipt. Give your plugs a little attention on arrival - unpack them immediately, and either mist them or stand them in water for an hour - they may be slightly dry or yellow after being in a dark box in the post, but they’ll quickly recover. If you can’t do this, they can sit in Mini Greenhouses for a week if upright and not too wet. When you're ready to pot on, use a good quality, multi-purpose compost and 7 to 9cm pots. Give your plants good water initially, then only when the top compost starts to dry as they don’t like to be left in standing water. Grow on either a bright windowsill or a greenhouse for three to four weeks before potting up into containers or flower beds. If planting directly into flower beds when all risk of frost has passed, prepare the ground well, removing weeds and digging in some compost or well-rotted manure if your soil is not already rich.
