Our 228ml glass jar is perfect for storing food. The jar, with a twist-top lid, is ideal for creating an airtight atmosphere to help keep your food fresher for longer, making it great for storing things like herbs and spices. Care and use: The glass jar is dishwasher-safe. Always clean jars before first use. Wash thoroughly and rinse in clean, hot water. Ensure the surfaces are free from chips, scratches or any remnants of food. Avoid the use of a metallic or abrasive sponge and allow the jar to dry naturally. When preserving any food, it is essential to sterilise the jars before use. Seals can be dipped in boiling water before use to sterilise them. Fill the jar and leave appropriate space between the preserve and underside of the lid (usually 1-2cm). Ensure the jar rim is clean and the rings are positioned correctly. Close the jar lid and secure the clip. The lid should remain firmly attached to the base. If a vacuum has formed, close the clip and store it in a cool, dry place, away from light.
