Tall, open spikes of delicate white blooms tinged with pink, the Johnsons Seeds Gaura The Bride is an elegant addition to your garden. Adds charm to the border and makes a good, long lived cut flower. Indoor sowing January to March, in trays of moist compost. Sow thinly, cover lightly with compost. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at 15-20˚C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days. Remove cover as seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays or individual 7.5cm pots of compost. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Then transplant 25cm apart in flowering position. Flowers July to October, the same year. Outdoor sowing May to July, in a prepared seed bed in flowering position. Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently. Keep moist and weed free. When large enough thin to 25cm apart. Flowers June to October, the following year.
