Johnsons Antirrhinum red have a greater resistance to rust. Features elegant spires of traditional snapdragon flowers and are usually grown as an annual. Indoor sowing January to March, in trays of seed compost. Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20˚C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days. Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 25cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free. Flowers June to October, the same year.
