Producing even sized globe beets with great flavour and excellent quality and texture. Beetroot boltardy offers perfectly sweet roots for roasting, preserving and slicing for salads, the baby leaves are edible and can be used for salad. Outdoor sowing March to July, in a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover with 2.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-21 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks. When large enough thin to 10cm apart. Keep moist and weed free. Harvest June to October, start to harvest when golf ball size for baby beet.
