Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and grab the handle with both hands. Lean into your front foot as you push the spade's blade into the ground. Lift the load, shift your weight to your back foot, turn towards where you want to throw it and release the load. Whenever you’re using any garden tools, it’s a good idea to wear gloves.
