Tips for Maintaining Outdoor Cushions 

Your garden cushions are a brilliant addition to your garden seating, giving an extra level of luxury to your sun lounger or adding some padding to your garden bench. Cushions for outdoor furniture are hardwearing, splash-proof and UV resistant, but we’d recommend storing them overnight in the shed or garden storage boxes to avoid damage from wildlife or heavier rain showers. Alternatively, you can keep the outdoor cushions on the furniture and use a garden furniture cover to protect your seating when not in use.

How to Clean Outdoor Cushions

Outdoor cushions are made from durable materials which are water resistant and UV resistant, so your garden cushions can survive splashes and the odd summer shower, as well as making sure their fabulous designs don’t fade in the sunshine. Because of the nature of the materials used, cleaning your outdoor cushions and seat pads is very easy: simply spot-clean any accidental spills with a soft cloth and mild soap if necessary.

You can vacuum and brush the cushion filling, and scrub any stains with mild soap before leaving everything out to dry thoroughly in the sunshine, if possible, to reduce any chance of mildew.
